Cars fleet bidding and management system
I led the user experience and design process in this project, Starting from the initial concept development to the final design prototyping.
Track, analyze and improve
Make price negotiation process easier and faster for both sides (supplier and rental company)
Optimize and shorten car search time for sale agent
Creating competition between the different suppliers thus lowering rental prices to the end customer
Increasing the number of vehicles that can be offered to the end customers
The current situation
Interviews with users
Most car suppliers are small privately-owned companies scattered throughout Europe.
Each provider has a relatively small fleet of exclusive vehicles ranging
from 5 to 30 units.
Most of the supplier companies have a staff of drivers that help transfer the vehicles to the end customer, an admin person that is in charge of the organization and handling orders, a fleet manager and an owner.
cars suppliers companies usually collaborate with rental companies that mediate between the car supplier and the end customer.
Most suppliers do not work with an internal CRM system and usually rely on Excel sheets and Emails as a key tool for organizing deals and manage their day to day schedule.
DEFINING THE PROBLEM
It takes a long time for the salespeople to find an available car in a specific place.
There is no system that unifies all luxury car suppliers in one place.
It is difficult to create competition between the different suppliers.
IDEATION AND RESEARCH
As a rental and marketing company, we understood the rental process from our side, In order to understand the process from the supplier's side, I conducted several interviews with supplier manager. In addition we ‘acted out’ the order process in order to better understand the suppliers perspective, giving us an idea of how to better map the process.
STEP 1: USER FLOW
First step was to document the rental communication touchpoints along the user journey
